Another fantastic weekend with friends. Jake and Vicky were superb hosts. The bedrooms are very comfortable and clean. The bar area, dining areas and lounges are very comfortable giving more than enough space for everyone. The views from the terrace over looking the Usk Valley are spectacular. This is our 24th year for visiting and as always it is exciting to see the completed projects since our last visit. I am looking forward to seeing the completed wildflower meadow bank next year.

Caer Llan is the most special venue which made for the most special wedding day! From the moment we arrived for our initial viewing, the views completely sold it to us and speaking with Vicky she was so organised and I could tell from that moment the day would run extremely smoothly (in which it did)! All communication was easy and nothing was too much to ask which made for a helpful planning process. From arriving on the Wednesday to leaving on the Friday morning, we had the most PERFECT time. Both Vicky, Jake and the entire team working at Caer Llan were so welcoming and helpful. Every single meal we had was delicious and every guest said the same. Vicky and Jake were hands on throughout the whole three days and the wedding day itself everything did run smoothly and without a hitch. The pool is a lovely addition which kept the males entertained in the morning! Caer Llan is the perfect backdrop for photos and there’s many places to go off to have some. Everyone who attended our wedding was amazed by the views and location and were just full of compliments towards it. We had the best day and couldn’t have asked for anything more, we wish we could do it all over again!!

Perfect Wedding Venue for a Perfect Day!
From start to finish Caer Llan were excellent. From the second we got out of the car on our first visit and were blown away by the vista from the car park we had decided that inside the building would need to be pretty poor for us to discount it as our venue. Our decision was made within minutes of entering the door and meeting Vicky and Jake. Both were great on communication in the build up and despite however many weddings they hold through the year, you’d be forgiven for thinking yours was the only one. The venue is beautiful. We were fortunate to have outstanding weather which made our outdoor ceremony particularly special. The venue is flexible though and should storm clouds gather on the morning of the wedding, an indoor ceremony room is set up with the same views over the stunning Welsh countryside. The accommodation here is lovely. To utilise it to its full capacity you will need to use every bed in every room which means if you’re working on 2 people per room, you’ll need to be selective on who you invite to stay as you’ll run out of rooms fast. For our small, intimate wedding this was perfect and all our family and closest friends were able to join us for a buffet the night before the wedding and stay right the way through to after breakfast the morning after. The staff are great, Chris on the bar provides a welcoming face and creates a vibe of the bar being that of a friendly local pub. The Chefs are excellent and as well as being two lovely guys, produce some magic in the kitchen. Food was outstanding throughout and this sentiment was echoed by all our guests. This is a family run venue and all the staff work to make you feel as if they have thrown open the doors of their family home to host your venue, just for you. This is far from a wedding factory so if you’re looking for a status wedding with 300 guests, Caer Llan isn’t for you. If you are however looking for a smaller, intimate country wedding with personal service focussed on you as a couple and your nearest and dearest; this is the place for you.

The views are stunning. All our guests loved every detail. Amazing food and plenty of it nobody went hungry. Special thanks to Jake for playing the piano.

Best Wedding Day Ever!
We could not recommend Caer Llan enough! We had our wedding weekend here Nov 2024 and we simple had the best time we could have ever imagined! Vicky & Jake are simply wonderful, from the moment we were invited in when first visiting it felt like the perfect venue to have our wedding day. Throughout the whole process contact with Vicky was quick and nothing was too much trouble, they really go above and beyond to make everything perfect. We had two nights stay at Caer Llan and even then it was not enough time to really take it all in, the view is truly spectacular, the food is amazing and guests are still talking about it, and Vicky & Jake really do make you feel right at home. The bedrooms are perfect, super comfortable and spacious, their team of staff are great, especially the bar staff that will stay to chat and serve you as long as you’re up whatever the time! There really isn’t anything more we could’ve asked for to make this the most special day at Caer Llan!

We got married in Oct ‘24 and cannot be any more grateful for how amazing the team at Caer Llan were! The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, the food throughout, the organisation, the rooms, the incredible views… We couldn’t fault anything! What really surprised us was how engaged the owners Vicky and Jake were throughout the whole stay. They were always on hand to ensure a smooth journey every step of the way. They are both very professional, reassuring and friendly. We knew we were in good hands with them which allowed us to relax and enjoy our special day. We recently celebrated our wedding at the stunning Caer Llan in Wales, and I can honestly say it was a day that surpassed every expectation. From the picturesque venue to the vibrant, joyful atmosphere, everything about our wedding was nothing short of magical – and much of that was thanks to the incredible hosts, Vicky and Jake.
From the moment we arrived, Vicky and Jake set the tone for what would be an unforgettable day. They brought such warmth, enthusiasm, and energy to the entire experience. They made us feel completely at ease and cared for, allowing us to soak in every moment without a worry in the world. Their attention to detail was impeccable, ensuring that everything ran smoothly, from the ceremony to the evening celebrations. Vicky and Jake’s involvement made all the difference. They didn’t just coordinate our wedding; they became part of it. They knew how to keep things light-hearted while still being professional, making sure our guests were entertained, engaged, and having a blast. Whether it was helping us with last-minute adjustments or adding personal touches throughout the day, they were always right there, making the experience feel even more special. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the reception. With the help of Vicky and Jake, we were able to create a celebration that was as colorful as it was joyous. The dance floor was buzzing, the food was incredible, and the laughter and smiles never stopped. The Best Venue you could ask for
We knew as soon as we drove up to Caer Llan on our first visit, that it was our wedding venue. Obviously with the most incredible views, but Jake & Vicky being the most welcoming owners just makes the place what it is.
We had the time of our lives from the night before right up until we sadly had to leave the morning after the wedding. It was like being in our own wedding bubble having the place to ourselves. Vicky, Jake and your whole team were amazing from start to finish everyone commented on how welcoming and helpful you all were. We can not thank you enough for everything you all did to make our wedding day so special.
From the out of this world food, to the sing along around the piano you made everyone feel at home and like we were surrounded by friends not suppliers. You can truly see the effort you put into making Caer Llan the best venue.

Wonderful Welsh Wedding
I’m not sure I can say much more than just book Caer Llan! We visited a few wedding venues but nothing else compared to this unique place. The views overlooking the valleys are breathtaking. Vicky and Jake were great to work with; the entire process was so simple. Thankfully we had a sunny day meaning an outdoor ceremony, but even inside would have been spectacular. It really was the perfect choice for us.

Vicky and Jake have been amazing from the start all the way to the end. I can’t wax lyrical enough at their professionalism and homeliness during the entire process. It was honestly like we were being taken care of like family. Their suggestions were spot on, the meals were well rounded and they were always around to troubleshoot when needed without being overbearing. Most of our guests were from abroad and everyone loved the view, the food, the comfort and safety of the venue and the general awe surrounding Caer Llan.
As a bride, I didn’t have a thing to worry about. Everything was discussed in advance and everyone was in the right place at the right time. It was a relaxed day. I couldn’t have asked for more. It was a blessing to celebrate our big day at Caer Llan surrounded by family and friends.

The perfect wedding venue with great staff
One of the reasons we chose Caer Llan as our venue was Vicky and Jake. Simply put, they know how to do weddings. In the 18 months we’ve been corresponding they could not of been more helpful and accommodating, they made us feel a million dollars! You know you’re in good hands when all of your suppliers comment on how good they are, when you tell them the venue. Throughout the weekend all the staff were fab, very friendly and always helpful.
We can very much recommend the wedding weekend experience. Arriving on Friday afternoon and being able to get everything ready in our own pace was much more relaxing. It was also lovely being able to spend Friday evening with our nearest and dearest, before the main event on Saturday.

When my wife and I saw Caer Llan whilst browsing websites, its beauty was instantly striking. The fantastic architecture, the outdoor spaces, and of course the view, were all apparent. What we didn’t plan for, and what won us over immediately, was the warmth, care, and passion that Vicky, Jake and the whole team show for what they do. Everyone ensured that our wedding day was one that we looked forward to with minimal stress, and one that we’ll look back on with fondness and gratitude that we managed to find a place so perfect. For those wondering about logistics: the rooms are spacious and comfortable, each with their own private bathrooms and flexible sleeping arrangements for whatever combination of guests you may have. The food was excellent (we had the Friday cold buffet, breakfast both days, a wonderful wedding breakfast with generous portions and the evening barbecue, which was worth paying the extra for in our opinion), and the team are very accommodating for allergies or dietary requirements, no matter how niche. The outdoor space is plentiful and peaceful, with plenty of opportunities for stunning photos.
To all the team at Caer Llan: please keep doing what you’re doing, because it’s something so special.

We can’t recommend Caer Llan enough! Everything was perfect from start to finish – Jake & Vicky were incredibly helpful from the very start of our planning through to saying goodbye. They made our special day so much more special than we could have ever dreamed of. Every request we had they obliged and even had plenty of suggestions too which were all very welcomed. The food was incredible, all of the guests raved about it. The staff were all friendly and the bar man, Chris, was so kind and accommodating. We wish we could do it all again and we wouldn’t change a thing!

We loved Caer Llan
I’m not sure where to even start but we loved having our wedding at Caer Llan. Jake and Vicky were so lovely and helpful throughout the planning of the wedding and the day itself and provided the perfect day, nothing was too much of an ask. You will be blown away by the stunning view! The food is excellent and there were lovely rooms available on site for our wedding parties and families. This was the perfect venue for us, it felt intimate and totally personal. We could not recommend this place enough!

Fantastic Wedding Venue
We got married at Caer Llan in July and would highly recommend it to any prospective couples! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning views of the Welsh valleys. Despite planning our wedding from the US, Jake and Vicky made our wedding planning stress free! They went above and beyond on every detail of our wedding and left us feeling incredibly confident and comfortable to just enjoy our day while they worked in the background. The staff worked with a seamless efficiency that made every single attendee give us glowing enthusiasm towards the food, the accommodations, and the entire event! Overall an incredible few days with friends and family that we will never forget!

Caer Llan made our wedding out of this world!
We simply had the best day of our lives at Caer Llan, with the most attentive and generous hosts we could have asked for. The venue and backdrop is absolutely stunning. Months on from our day, our friends still say the wedding was the best they had been to because of the atmosphere and the stunning views. They said it felt like a summer party abroad! The venue just made everyone relax and have fun. Vicky & Jake are phenomenal at what they do and making everyone there feel like a friend. They are always close on hand and communication was spot on the whole way from booking Caer Llan to the morning after the wedding. They covered all bases and we really felt like we were in safe hands and could enjoy the day. Having the wedding breakfast outside was so beautiful it was surreal, and walking around the grounds with our photographer was another highlight as it’s so lovely and well kept. The food was so tasty and everyone’s needs were met, even the evening food was so good one of my friends asked me if we could go back for a party someday just for the BBQ! When you’re at Caer Llan for your wedding, you feel that exclusivity and that you are somewhere really special, away in nature with your nearest and dearest, well fed and comfortable – what more could you want from a wedding!

A perfect summer wedding
Caer Llan was the first, and only venue we looked at for our wedding. Having the option to get married outside, with the stunning Usk Valley as our backdrop, was all the enticement we needed. Vicky and Jake were the most brilliant hosts. Their availability to offer advice and answer our questions enabled the lead up to our wedding to be stress free and helped increase our excitement. Choosing a Twilight wedding was absolutely the best decision, allowing us to minimise the formality and maximise on fun!! The food was delicious and plentiful, the accommodation is stylish, comfortable and the best value I’ve ever known, with most rooms able to sleep between 2-4 people. An additional bonus for us was the fact that as Caer Llan is also Vicky & Jake’s family home, it has all the comfort and homely touches to make the venue warm and welcoming and we didn’t feel the need to add any additional decoration. We cannot recommend Caer Llan and Vicky and Jake highly enough. It is the most perfectly intimate Monmouthshire wedding venue.

A Magical Day!
We knew Caer Llan was the perfect venue for our wedding the moment we first arrived. The views are just spectacular, the house and grounds create the perfect blend of friendliness, relaxation, formality and elegance. However, what really made the difference was you guys, and your amazing team. You are both the personification of calmness and service with an enormous smile, that made us feel our special day was the ONLY wedding that mattered. The organisation on the day seemed effortless, although I am sure it wasn’t; so an enormous kudos to you and the team!
Our wedding day was perfect, in every sense of the word – just magical. We have had repeated comments from our friends and family about how amazing the weekend was. All of them loved Caer Llan the venue, and the team you have there; and Jake’s piano playing at the end of the evening put a huge cherry on top of the day!
We know you are proud of your house and business, and so you should be. We cannot thank and praise you enough.

Beautiful welsh venue
We had an amazing wedding reception at Caer Llan. Following our Church Service, we loved taking our guests here. The views made the perfect backdrop to our wedding photos. The food was lovely and it was so nice to eat outside on a sunny day in May. The venue is so versatile, with guests able to be in the ballroom, bar, piano area, terrace and even pool area. The bedrooms were beautiful and comfy too. By the morning our guests were discussing how they could come here again! You won’t regret having your wedding here.

This is an absolutely Stunning Wedding Venue with Magical Views and a World Class Service Team . This was honestly the best wedding that I have been to in 25 years . From the minute we arrived until the minute we left our every need was catered for . The accommodation is split between the main house which in itself is just incredible full of history , maintained to the highest standard to an out building with very high quality rooms where myself & my friend stayed . Our room was called Fair isle and was huge . Super comfy beds , lots of space , spotlessly clean , We had a lovely big bath and shower with very high quality linens & towels .
The out building was initially one of the first eco buildings in the country and has won awards . It was perfectly blended into the countryside & looked easily as old as the main house which was quite miraculous as it’s only about 25 years old . These rooms stayed cool and light and airy whilst it was roasting hot outside .
The weather for May was incredible & the venue has incredible outside spaces which can be utilised in all different types of weather . Seriously the views are breathtaking & being able to sit & chill lounging on comfy sofas whilst outside.was heaven . There was lots of places within the main house where you could sit & chat & relax & off course the Swimming pool . This pool probably has the best views of any pool in the whole country .
I was sat there with my feet in the pool , enjoying the sun listening to the birds which was so relaxing .
Rebecca & Lee the bride & Groom had worked with the owners of Caer Llan Jake & Vicky to create not only a magical romantic wedding for themselves but they ensured every person attending had the exact same experience . This has created so many wonderful memory’s for everyone who attended .
Everything from the wedding service itself to the canapés & photographers was brilliant .
I have to say that Jake & Vicky and every member of staff at Caer Llan did an amazing job , Service was 5 star , the waiting on staff , Bar staff & Kitchen team where magnificent . Nothing was ever too much , all needs where catered for and the food was simply incredible . From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we where looked after & honestly I have to say that the team Vicky and Jake have created is superb , absolutely faultless . One big family and it shows because every guest at Rebecca & Lee’s wedding where treated with the utmost respect and care .
It was a magical day where both the bride and groom looked amazing & the wedding itself was such a beautiful day . All the guests had the time of their lives and I can honestly hand on heart say it was the best wedding I’ve been to in 25 years & I would highly recommend this venue to anyone . In fact my friend Lee’s cousin is seriously thinking of having his 50th there . What an amazing weekend . Thanks to all .
