Caer Llan is situated 4 miles outside the historic town of Monmouth. There is a crossroads in between Monmouth and Trellech on the B4293 (4 miles from Monmouth, 2 miles from Trellech). At the crossroads, follow the sign down the hill for Craig-y-Dorth and take the first left.

By Rail
There are railway stations at Hereford, Abergavenny, Newport and Chepstow, all of which have nearby coach stations with bus links to Monmouth
