How to find Caer Llan

However, please be aware that Caer Llan is situated in a rural area and the postcode covers more than one property. When approaching from the B4293, the entrance to our driveway is the first on the left about 0.2 miles before the Sat Nav's suggested final destination. When approaching from Cardiff via Mitchel Troy, the entrance to our driveway is the last on the right about 0.2 miles past the Sat Nav's final destination.

From the Midlands
Take M5, M50 and then A40 to Monmouth. Stay on dual carriageway over the roundabout and continue over the traffic lights. Turn off the A40 immediately before the tunnels. It is signposted Trelleck B4293. At the end of the slip road, turn left again signed Trelleck B4293 and then follow the directions from Monmouth (below).
From Cardiff
Exit the M4(East) at the Coldra roundabout (Junction 24) and follow the A449 to Monmouth (becomes the A40). Turn off the dual carriageway immediately after the tunnels. At the end of the slip road there is a garage and a mini-roundabout. Take the first exit signposted Trelleck B4293, continue on this road over the top of the tunnels and then follow the directions from Monmouth (below).
From Monmouth
Continue on the B4293 signed for Trelleck. 500 yards later, there is a fork in the road with a distinctive white house facing you right on the junction, turn left here following the B4293 towards Trelleck. Follow this road uphill around a series of sharp bends and continue until the road passes under dense trees. Stay on this road until you see a 'crossroads' sign (about 4 miles from Monmouth but 2 miles before Trelleck). At the 'crossroads', turn right signed for Craig-y-Dorth. Go downhill for about half a mile and take the first left into Caer Llan. Continue to the end of the drive.
From London or the South West
Exit the M4(West) at Junction 21 signed M48 Chepstow. Having travelled over the old Severn Bridge take the next exit for Chepstow. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit signed Chepstow. Continue until the next roundabout and take the second exit signed Monmouth. At next roundabout (Chepstow Racecourse), take the first exit signed Itton B4293 (do not take the A466 to Monmouth). Continue for about 13 miles on the B4293 to Trelleck, passing through the villages of Devauden, and Llanishen. Pass through Trelleck and about 2 miles later, look for a crossroads sign. At the crossroads turn left, signed for Craig-y-Dorth. Go downhill for about half a mile and take the first left into Caer Llan. Continue to the end of the drive.
By Rail
There are railway stations at Hereford, Abergavenny, Newport and Chepstow, all of which have nearby coach stations with bus links to Monmouth
By Air
The International Airports at Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham can all be reached in a little over an hour whilst Heathrow airport is about 2 hours away.
